The aim is to establish common procedures and a favourable framework to promote people mobility among participating organisations and users, both placements for new graduates and people in the labour market as well as short term training/exchange of knowledge visits among the partners.

The mobility by itself is not funded by VESTA-GIS but by the involved organisations through ad hoc agreements. Information on LdV opportunities for mobility funding and support to applicants are also provided. Mobility is promoted both at the general VESTA-GIS Network level and at sub-networks levels with reference to application domains. A “Mobility Vademecum” as guidance from the promotion to the reporting phase of each mobility has been produced, including provisions for EUROPASS-Mobility and actions to define quality criteria according to the European Quality Charter for Mobility (ref. OJ L 394/8, 30.12.2006), and an on-line database collecting offer/demand of placements is going to be set-up and constantly up-dated.

The mobility will be monitored throughtout the project according to quality procedures and upon collection of the final reports on achieved results from beneficiaries, some examples of which will be selected as best practices and published on a booklet (multiplying effect).
